Suddenly, money seems an issue. Gas. Food. Thankfully not lodging. At least not lodging until I figure out how I'm going to heat the old homestead next winter.
Sticker shock in the food aisles. Really! Who'd have thought that we, with our extravagant food supply, would look at the price of bread or brussels sprouts or bacon and have to consider whether it is too expensive.
I will confess that I've been really fortunate until now. I pretty much bought what I wanted to eat. I could splurge on artichokes or shrimp because...well, I could.
